Best Bromance Donghuas You Must Watch in 2026

Finding a good bromance donghua isn't easy.

Ever since I watched Heaven Official's Blessing and Link Click, I've been chasing that same feeling: two male characters with incredible chemistry, unwavering loyalty, and a bond that makes you emotionally attached to their journey. Unfortunately, truly great bromance donghuas are surprisingly rare.

Thankfully, my search wasn't completely futile. Over the past few years, I've stumbled across several hidden gems that deserve far more attention than they currently receive. Whether you're a fan of sworn brothers, fate-bound partners, enemies-to-allies, or soulmate-level friendships, this list has something for you.

Here are my top picks for bromance fans in 2026. P.S. I have kept the article spoiler free.

1. The Land of Miracles (Shen Lan Qi Yu Wushuang Zhu)

The Duo: Lan Ge (free-spirited prince) and Fa Hua (disciplined law-bringer).

The Bond: Bound together by the Only Pearl, a magical artifact that forces them to share both power and damage. Their personalities couldn't be more different, which is exactly why they work so well together.

Why Watch: This is one of the most underrated bromance donghuas out there. The enemies-to-partners dynamic is fantastic, the chemistry is incredible, and the animation quality is consistently impressive. There are currently three seasons available, and somehow each one manages to raise the stakes.

2. Threads of Fate: A War Untold (Shanhai Jing Mima)

The Duo: Youshen Bupo and Jiang Li.

The Bond: A life-saving encounter creates a partnership that gradually develops into something much deeper.

Why Watch: Ancient mythology, war, destiny, and loyalty. What more could a bromance fan ask for? Season 1 recently wrapped up, and I'm already counting down the days until Season 2.

3. Shrouding the Heavens (Zhe Tian)

The Core: Ye Fan and Pang Bo.

The Bond: Brotherhood forged through hardship, danger, and countless life-and-death situations.

Why Watch: While bromance isn't the primary focus, the friendship between Ye Fan and Pang Bo remains one of the strongest aspects of the series. Their loyalty to one another never feels forced.

Note: The creator has clarified that this isn't BL. Also, Pang Bo disappears for a significant portion of the story, so keep your expectations realistic. Even so, the series is absolutely worth watching.

4. The Chosen One (Guwei Nanting)

The Duo: A modern college student and a Qing Dynasty prince ghost.

The Bond: A supernatural connection involving reincarnation, ancient secrets, and shared destinies.

Why Watch: Horror, comedy, mystery, and emotional pain all wrapped into one package. The dynamic between the two leads is what kept me invested.

P.S. I've already published a dedicated post about this donghua, so make sure to check that out as well.

5. Jinwu Wei: Feng Qi Jingling

The Duo: Members of the Imperial Guard.

The Bond: Brothers-in-arms solving supernatural mysteries while protecting the capital.

Why Watch: If you enjoy historical settings, supernatural investigations, and teams that would willingly throw themselves into danger for one another, this one deserves a spot on your watchlist. Currently season 1 is out and there is no official announcement of when season 2 will be out.

6. Link Click: Bridon Arc

The Duo: Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang.

The Bond: Do they even need an introduction at this point?

Why Watch: The Bridon Arc finally dives deeper into Lu Guang's past and his connection to Cheng Xiaoshi. The emotional intensity is through the roof, and once again the series proves why it remains one of the most beloved bromance donghuas ever made.

Seriously. The fandom isn't obsessed for no reason.

7. Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire (Lie Huo Jiao Chou)

The Duo: Xuan Ji and Sheng Lingyuan.

The Bond: A complicated relationship spanning thousands of years.

Why Watch: Emotional tension, ancient history, sacrifice, and two fascinating protagonists. As an adaptation of a Priest novel, expectations were already high, and thankfully the donghua delivers.

Only one season is available so far, but the novel is complete if you can't wait.

8. Spiritpact (Ling Qi)

The Duo: You Keika and Tanmoku Ki.

The Bond: A soul contract binds their fates together.

Why Watch: This is basically required viewing for bromance fans. The trust, loyalty, and willingness to protect one another make this one of the genre's classics.

Two seasons are currently available, and both are highly recommended.

9. Rising in the Fire (Xiang Huo Er Sheng)

The Duo: Han Yan and Jiang Mingsheng.

The Bond: A grumpy-meets-sunshine partnership strengthened by shared trauma and dangerous investigations.

Why Watch: Unlike many fantasy-heavy entries on this list, this one offers a more grounded and modern setting. The focus on trust, healing, and teamwork makes the relationship particularly rewarding to watch.

Note: Only six episodes have been released so far, but don't let that stop you. It's short, sweet, and absolutely worth your time.

Final Thoughts

Whether you prefer cultivation worlds, supernatural mysteries, historical adventures, or modern investigations, there has never been a better time to be a bromance fan.

Some of these series focus heavily on the relationship between the male leads, while others weave bromance into a much larger story. Either way, each of them left a lasting impression on me, and hopefully they'll do the same for you.

Happy watching, fellow bromance enthusiasts!
