Welcome
This is your personal guide to everything on this site. Bookmark it.
Your blog runs on Payload CMS. You never need to touch any code. Everything you need is at /admin.
1. Logging in
Go to bromance.blog/admin. Enter your email and password.
2. Writing a post
In the sidebar, click Posts then Create New. Fill in:
- Title: The headline of your post.
- Content: The main body. Use the toolbar for formatting.
- Hero Image: The large image at the top.
- Categories: Tag your post (Lifestyle, Travel, etc).
- Slug: The URL. Auto-filled from the title.
3. Drafts vs Published
Every post starts as a Draft — only you can see it. When ready, click Publish. It goes live within seconds.
Drafts autosave every few seconds. If your browser crashes or you close the tab, your work is safe.
4. Version history
Every save creates a version. You can go back to any previous version:
1. Open the post
2. Click the Versions tab
3. Click any version to preview it
4. Click Restore this version to go back
5. The editor toolbar
H2/H3/H4 = Section headings. B = Bold. I = Italic. U = Underline.
Link = Turn text into a clickable link. Rule = Horizontal divider.
Block (+) = Insert a banner callout, image, or code block.
6. Uploading images
All images go to Cloudinary (fast CDN, auto-optimized).
1. In sidebar: Media → Create New
2. Drag and drop a file
3. Add Alt text (important for SEO and accessibility)
4. Save
5. Back in your post, select the image from the Hero Image field
7. SEO tab
Each post has an SEO tab. Fill in:
- Meta Title: Under 60 characters, includes the topic.
- Meta Description: 1–2 sentences about the post. Under 160 characters.
- OG Image: The image shown when shared on social media.
8. Changing navigation
In sidebar: Globals → Header (top nav) or Footer (bottom).
Add, remove, or reorder items. Click Save — live within seconds.
