Dramas with no F/M romance
For me, 2026 can be considered a pretty dry year in respect to m/m dramas. Don’t get me wrong there were good dramas released but nothing to my liking. And if you’re anything like me, you might’ve been struggling with a similar issue. So, to resolve this, I am sharing a few of my favourites that you can choose from.
Some of these dramas released back in 2024 but they were such a good drama, I had to add them to this list.

Disclaimer: The list is going to be short, simple, and spoiler-free, hopefully you find something to your liking.
10/10 dramas
War of Faith

This has become an all time favourite, like for example, it is a drama which I could recommend to anyone irrespective of the genre they are into. Yes, it is that good. I can’t even begin to explain how good Wang Yibo was in this drama, like fell in love again. Plus, Wang Yang did such an amazing job as the shifu, I can’t even. Each and every cast member did an extraordinary job. I can’t go much in-depth as then it will become a full on review.

Goddess Bless You From Death

I usually avoid watching Thai dramas and please don’t get me wrong, I do like my thai dramas but I just feel like nowadays there’s more focus on the quantity rather than the quality. But this one drama – a chef’s kiss. Everything is done so meticulously from the story line to the character development to the cinematography that you actually fall in love with everything about it. It falls in the thriller/horror genre and they have done justice to it.

The Spirealm

It is a Chinese sci-fi drama based off a novel. There is no dull moment in this drama, guys. I was glued to the screen like so much so that I finished this long ass drama in like maybe 24 hours. Am I ashamed? No. It has suspense, thriller and comedy – a perfect binge watch.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

A short medical Korean drama involving a group of misfits led by an insane-ly intelligent doctor who is really a mary sue character. Like the drama is a bit over the top and unrealistic at times but still a fun and exciting watch especially for someone who is in the medical field or likes medical dramas.

Towards the Truth

It is a typical Chinese detective drama with a twist of supernatural aspect. It revolves around a trio (and others) who come together to solve mysterious murders that have been happening and in turn come closer to solving a decade old unsolved massacre that wiped out MC’s entire family. I find the drama interesting and liked the supernatural aspect of it. Hopefully, they release a sequel where we can learn more about the MC and ML.
Unnatural Fire
Ooh, what a gem. When I found it, ngl I was quite skeptical if this was going to be good detective drama or not but boy, was I wrong. I already liked previous works of the MC, Zhang Yun Long so that was the reason I picked it up and glad I did.

The drama revolves around a trio, a detective, a fireman (investigator), and a medical coroner who come together to solve fire-related crimes. I liked the premise of the drama and the execution was also top-notch.
Echoes of Evidence
I have watched this drama pretty recently and really liked it. I have already published a full review here.

The Company
Another Cdrama on the list – guilty as charged.
Guys, I can’t help it, Chinese entertainment industry just nails it when it comes to thriller/detective drama that are primarily m/m based. One reason could be the censorship but even before the strict censorship, we had gems like the guardian, etc.

This drama is about a time travelling agent who travels in time to restore some important antiques and in his journey of restoration, he finds himself a travel buddy/secretary.
Blood River
A short disclaimer, it does involve fls but the romance isn’t too prevalent.

This Chinese gem of a drama already had one of my favourite actors and led me to finding another of my favourites. Gong Jun is already known for his previous works and his brilliant acting isn’t surprising. Chang Hua Sen, on the other hand, I was unfamiliar with, however, his acting in this one has felt such a lasting impact on me. Personally, a 10/10 drama, indeed.
Another thing I really liked about this drama and had to mention were the costumes. Gong Jun was wearing such nice period costumes that I couldn’t help but fall in love.
A few honourable mentions
